The Risk Officer is responsible for overseeing the operational risk management of the global AXI business. This includes providing risk oversight, monitoring, and reporting on operational and financial risks across the organization. The role involves engaging with different business units to identify, assess, and review key group risks, while supporting the development of effective control measures. The Risk Officer will also prepare analytical reports for senior management and provide ongoing support to the broader Risk team to strengthen AXI’s overall risk framework.

Your EDGE Assignment/You Will

  • Assess PULSE incident tickets, ensuring timely monitoring, investigation, root cause analysis, and resolution.
  • Assess incidents to identify operational risks, evaluate existing controls, and implement improvements to mitigate recurrence.
  • Ensure business units and stakeholders understand and manage operational risks under their control, supporting the development of effective control measures.
  • Provide 2nd line oversight of the Risk Management Framework of the business
  • Ensure controls are in place to protect Axi during BAU and unforeseen events.
  • Liaise with management, business teams, and other stakeholders to ensure risks are appropriately managed, reported, and mitigated.
  • Make decisive judgments under pressure, organize competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
  • Support special and strategic projects, taking ownership of multiple workstreams to deliver objectives and measurable outcomes.
  • Promote and embed a strong risk culture by holding the business accountable for effective controls, risk awareness, and continuous improvement.

Are you the one?

  • 1–2 years’ experience in risk management, operations, or a related role within financial services or banking.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficient in Ms Office (Excel); familiarity with Jira or other incident/risk systems is a plus.
  • Well-organized, able to plan time and manage competing priorities.
  • Enthusiastic and eager to learn, with a proactive mindset and interest in developing a career in risk management.
