This role will drive strategic initiatives as Business Partner to the Marketing team of the Retail Services Division and support HR Operations within Cyprus by delivering an employee experience that aligns with local business strategies and is consistent with our global direction.

Your EDGE Assignment/You Will

HRBP responsibilities

  • Partner with Marketing Heads and senior Marketing team members as a trusted adviser to develop and implement HR strategies that support business needs and goals. Work with HRBP – Retail Services to ensure alignment with Retail Services Division goals.
  • Assist with all aspects of the employee life cycle, including hiring, onboarding, transfers, promotions, offboarding, for the Marketing team. Support the global Payroll and Talent Acquisition teams in promoting best practices and efficient methodologies and providing localised support where required.
  • Monitor and implement the performance management cycle to support line managers and leaders.
  • Work with local managers to manage job performance issues. Support, and partner with respective HRBPs of other divisions in implementing and managing Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) conversations and processes where needed.
  • Coordinate L&D programs to enhance employee morale and knowledge. Provide guidance and support to managers on performance management and employee development.

HR Operations

  • Support HR Administration in Cyprus such as new joiner onboarding, assist with termination process/documentation, and coordinate with Payroll, providing localised support as and where required.
  • Ensure Axi complies with all applicable employment legislation, local regulations, and practices within Cyprus/EU.
  • Work with the HR team on localising HR initiatives, programs and annual activities, and be part of the global HR team.
  • Foster and maintain positive employee relations by addressing concerns and implementing engagement initiatives. Provide local and global management teams with employment legal advice and best practice information. Resolve complex employee relations issues and manage conflict through effective conflict resolution strategies informally and formally.
  • Manage employee immigration issues and verify new starter immigration status to ensure that Axi employees have and maintain the right to work in Cyprus. Work with local Immigration Advisers for visa applications.
  • Promote a positive organisational culture and working environment aligned with the company’s values and mission. Organise and oversee employee engagement activities and events consistent with global practices but with a local flavour. Assist with regular employee feedback surveys and develop action plans based on the results. Support local events and activities.
  • Support Employer Branding Manager by providing local knowledge and helping drive initiatives within Cyprus to enhance awareness of Axi as an employer of choice.
  • Work with the General Manager regarding office procedures, general office logistics and attendance.

Are you the one?

  • 8–10 years of progressive HR experience, including 5–6 years as an HR Business Partner supporting Sales and/or Marketing teams.
  • Proven experience partnering with senior leaders to design and deliver strategic HR initiatives aligned to business objectives.
  • Strong knowledge of the full employee lifecycle, performance management, talent development, and employee relations.
  • Solid understanding of employment legislation and HR best practices within Cyprus and the EU.
  • Experience working in a global or matrixed organisation, with the ability to localise global HR programs and policies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex employee relations matters, performance improvement processes, and change initiatives.
  • Highly adaptable, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving business environment with a strategic mindset.
  • Fluency in English is essential; Spanish language skills are a strong advantage.
