Who We Are.
Axi is a leading global provider of margin and deliverable Foreign Exchange, Contracts for Difference (CFDs), and Financial Spread betting. Our business has evolved into a world-class, multifaceted brokerage with offices in six regions. With heavy investment in the latest trading technology, Axi seeks to offer the most comprehensive end-to-end trading experience available, servicing traders of all levels from beginners to institutional-level clients.
Let's talk about the cool stuff you will do at Axi!
- Create — Build What's Missing
- Develop and maintain front-end components for our AI products using modern frameworks (e.g. Next.js, React, Vue) and sound UI/UX principles.
- Implement secure and scalable backend APIs in Node.js, Python, or another relevant language, and integrate Anthropic, OpenAI, and other emerging models into our products — prompting, tool use / function calling, and evaluating output quality — so they communicate cleanly with wider platform services and data sources.
- Build the features, integrations, and automations that make our products genuinely useful day to day, including automating manual processes on RPA platforms such as UiPath or Power Automate where that approach fits better.
- Improve — Fix What's Holding Products Back
- Read, debug, and modify a production codebase confidently to find what is limiting a product and fix it, whether that's performance, reliability, usability, language and localisation quality, or complexity that has built up over time.
- Validate that users actually understand the product and rework the experience and supporting material where they don't.
- Implement automated test suites (Selenium, Playwright, or similar) and maintain scheduled tasks such as data ingestion and health checks, reducing manual effort wherever possible.
- Scale — Grow Adoption
- Grow usage several times over: take products into new markets and user groups, including regulated markets and environments with real security or compliance constraints.
- Work across the multiple teams whose input a rollout depends on, building their requirements into the product rather than bolting them on afterwards.
- Hold credible conversations with business users about their workflows, then go implement the fix.
- Run hands-on, role-specific training and produce the enablement material that explains what we've built to a non-technical audience.
- Instrument and measure adoption closely enough to know what's working, who has dropped off, and why — owning the outcome rather than the ticket.
- Collaborate & Communicate
- Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, plan sprints, and take part in architecture reviews so solutions scale and meet security and performance standards.
- Provide clear project updates, documentation, and technical insight to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to coding standards and best practices through code reviews and knowledge-sharing.
- Stay Current
- Keep pace with developments in full-stack engineering, AI tooling, and automation, and experiment with new LLM and agent capabilities that could improve our products.
Are you the one?
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, Data Science, or a related technical field.
- Have at least 3 years of relevant working experience in AI, software engineering, or a related technical field; the role is not intended for fresh graduates or very junior profiles.
- Hands-on experience with AI Agents, AI applications, or LLM-based solutions, ideally in a production environment.
- Proven experience scaling and enhancing AI products or solutions, including taking existing AI applications, code, or technologies and expanding their usage across teams, markets, or the wider organisation.
- Strong technical experience with Python, LLMs, APIs, databases, and AI platforms/tools.
- Able to work with existing code and solutions, identify opportunities for improvement, and help grow and scale existing AI products rather than focusing only on building new solutions from scratch.
- Experience with AI chatbots, voice agents, or similar AI applications would be an advantage.
- Knowledge or experience with RPA/automation platforms such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Power Automate would be a plus.
- Experience in fintech, financial services, trading, or a similar industry would be an advantage, but is not essential.
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work with different teams and stakeholders across the organisation.
