Azul Prime is the world's most advanced JVM — purpose-built for enterprises that demand low latency, high throughput, and predictable performance at scale. Azul's customers include 36% of the Fortune 100 and 50% of Forbes' top 10 World's Most Valuable Brands, spanning financial services, SaaS, gaming, and big data. Azul Prime eliminates the performance bottlenecks that hold other JVMs back. And with Optimizer Hub — a cloud-based compilation and optimization service that no other JVM vendor offers — we're redefining what a modern Java runtime platform can be.

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager who can translate technical depth into a sharp product vision, a compelling roadmap, and a tight partnership with Engineering, Sales, and Marketing. You don't need to be a JVM expert — but you need to be genuinely technical, curious about how things work under the hood, and comfortable supporting a highly technical product.

What You'll Do

    • Turn technical understanding and user feedback into prioritized, actionable work for Engineering

    • Contribute to go-to-market strategy for new features and releases — collaborating closely with Marketing on launches and making sure the product story lands with the right audiences

    • Be the product's best demo-giver, documentation reviewer, and usability champion — you care about the end-to-end experience, not just the feature list

    • Work directly with customers, prospects, and the Sales team — joining calls, supporting deals, handling escalations, and making sure product direction reflects what's actually happening in the field

    • Present and defend product decisions in front of Azul's leadership team — this is a visible role with real exposure, not a position buried behind layers of management

What We Need

    Must-have:

    • Hands-on background in software engineering or quality engineering — you've written code, debugged production systems, and you're comfortable in technical conversations with engineers

    • 2+ years of product management experience, ideally for a technical platform or infrastructure product

    • Comfortable working independently in a fully remote setup — self-directed, async-friendly, and able to stay aligned across time zones

    • Excellent written and verbal communication in English; able to speak both to engineers and to enterprise customers

    Nice to have:

    • Familiarity with the Java ecosystem — tooling, runtime behaviour, or application development in Java

    • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and cost optimisation — understanding how compute resources are provisioned, monitored, and optimised across cloud environments

    • Experience working with open source communities

What We Offer

    • Referral Program – help us grow with great people.

    • Premium IT Equipment – MacBook Pro or hardware of your choice.

    • Flexible hours, full remote possible.

    • Work alongside top experts worldwide contributing to the Java ecosystem.
