About the Opportunity
The Account Manager at Boundless is a high-energy individual who can recognize opportunities and turn both new and existing relationships into long-lasting loyal partnerships. With their extensive product and service knowledge along with their understanding of industry trends, the Account Manager will communicate directly with clients and prospects, understand their individual needs, and recommend products or services that maximize value. Account Managers may also assist in developing sales strategies and establishing quotas. You should be an adaptable, knowledgeable multi-tasker with strong computer and communication skills.
Successful candidates will be skilled communicators and presenters who can find the best fit between client and product. The ideal candidate will be organized, passionate about client relations, and focused on developing customer loyalty through all interactions. They should be based in the Minneapolis/Saint Paul and greater Twin Cities area to effectively serve clients while enjoying a hybrid remote and in-office work arrangement.
Essential Functions
- Effectively understand customer expectations and employ best practices associated with selling skills, problem solving, proactive account management, and cross-functional teamwork to ensure we surface as the customers’ most helpful partner
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions per customer needs and objectives
- Effectively communicate the progress of weekly/monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
- Own the delivery of day-to-day customer engagements
- Own the development and implementation of programs and solutions to meet customer needs and deliver the expected customer experience
- Presenting and demonstrating the value of Boundless’ products and services to prospective buyers
- Developing sales strategies and setting quota
- Staying current on company offerings and industry trends
Skills & Abilities
- 5+ years of Account Management experience, preferably in the promotional products industry, with a proven track record of managing large programs
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent decision-making skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with customers, third parties, and internal teams
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to navigate different personality types and client needs
- Extensive product knowledge within the sales promotion/advertising specialty industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel) and other relevant business software
- Knowledge of NetSuite and Salesforce a plus
