About the opportunity

Boundless is looking for a reliable and motivated Materials Handler to support our warehouse operations in Fairfield, OH. This role is part of a team that joined Boundless through a recent acquisition, and we’re excited to grow with individuals who bring energy, accuracy, and pride to their work.

The Materials Handler will work under the direction of the Materials Lead to help manage incoming materials, maintain inventory accuracy, and support daily order fulfillment. From picking and putting away items to preparing materials for production and shipment, this role is essential to keeping the warehouse running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

1. Material Movement & Handling:

• Receive incoming materials and supplies, verifying counts and inspecting for damage
• Put away inventory in designated storage locations, keeping areas clean and organized
• Stage materials for production or shipping as directed

2. Inventory Accuracy:

• Assist with cycle counts, physical inventory, and reporting discrepancies
• Update system records as needed to reflect accurate inventory status
• Help maintain consistent labeling and organization standards throughout the warehouse

3. Order Fulfillment Support:

• Pick, pack, and prepare items for outgoing shipments or internal transfers
• Assist with kitting and assembling orders when needed
• Ensure materials are picked correctly and meet quality standards

4. Team Collaboration:

• Communicate effectively with the Materials Lead and other team members
• Take initiative to help where needed to meet deadlines and support operations
• Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement discussions

5. Safety & Cleanliness:

• Follow all safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
• Maintain clean and hazard-free work areas
• Report safety concerns or equipment issues promptly

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year of experience in a warehouse, stockroom, or materials handling role preferred
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the shift
  
• Basic computer skills for inventory systems and shipping tools
  
• Strong attention to detail and organizational habits
  
• Team-oriented attitude and willingness to pitch in
  
• Forklift experience or certification is a plus

Working Conditions

• Role requires physical activity including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Shift is M-F, 8a - 4:30p but may involve earlier mornings, occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays depending on shipping needs
• Climate-controlled and non-climate-controlled environments
