About Us 🚀

Bridgit is a leading non-bank lender transforming the way Australians access property equity. Purpose-built to make property transactions faster and easier, we pioneered the Buy Now, Sell Later solution – empowering homeowners to unlock their property equity and move on their terms. With a simple digital application, fast approvals, and flexible loan options, we’re making property finance seamless and stress-free.

We’re now four years old and making huge strides. We have accredited over two-thirds of Australia’s broker network, and launched white label solutions with Australia’s largest aggregators – Connective, Aussie Home Loans, Finsure, and Loan Market Group – and we’re just getting started.

Our momentum has been recognised with awards such as Best Growth Story at the 2025 Fintech Awards, 2025 Finder People’s Choice Award for Lending Innovation, the finalist for Excellence in Lending (Business & Consumer) at the 2025 Finnies, Deloitte's tech fast 50 2025 and finally; being recognised as one of LinkedIn’s top 20 Start Up’s in Australia 2025.

The difference you’ll make

As our Business Analyst, you'll be the critical bridge between business needs and technical delivery, ensuring our data transformation delivers real value across the organisation. You'll translate complex technical architectures into clear business benefits, and convert ambiguous business requests into actionable technical requirements.

In your first three months, you'll help migrate our reporting infrastructure from legacy systems to a modern, scalable platform. Beyond that, you'll shape how Bridgit uses data for decision-making - building new analytical capabilities, enabling self-service analytics, and developing insights that drive our growth in mortgage lending and new product expansion.

You'll work hand-in-hand with our Senior Data Engineer to ensure technical excellence, while partnering with our Power BI Developer to deliver intuitive visualisations. Your ability to speak both languages - technical and business - will accelerate our journey from reactive reporting to predictive analytics.

What you'll do;

Documentation & Optimisation (First 3 months)

  • Complete migration of remaining department reports (Finance, Credit, Distribution, Marketing).
  • Create and maintain comprehensive data dictionary and standard views documentation (Bronze/Silver/Gold layers).
  • Document all existing Power BI reports with clear business logic and data lineage.
  • Build and maintain a "standard views sheet" documenting all reusable data assets and their business definitions.
  • Optimise and standardise reporting processes across all departments.

Building New Capabilities (Ongoing)

  • Design and specify new reports and dashboards to support product expansion and business growth.
  • Maintain the standard views documentation, ensuring all new data assets are properly catalogued.
  • Define requirements for self-service analytics that empower business users.
  • Partner with FP&A to develop forward-looking analytics and forecasting capabilities.
  • Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments for new data initiatives.
  • Translate complex financial and lending requirements into clear technical specifications.
  • Validate data quality and business logic across all reporting deliverables.
  • Champion data governance standards and maintain single source of truth documentation.

What you’ll bring:

Essential Experience

  • 3-5 years in business analysis, data analysis, or BI roles.
  • Technical BA experience - hands-on work with data and systems, not just requirements gathering.
  • Proven track record translating between technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Experience in data migration or reporting transformation projects.
  • Strong SQL skills - able to validate data logic and write investigation queries.
  • Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data warehouse concepts.
  • Excellence in requirements gathering, documentation and stakeholder management.

Technical Skills

  • SQL: Intermediate to advanced (write complex queries, understand query optimisation).
  • Power BI: Working knowledge (understand data models, DAX basics, visualisation best practices).
  • Data Concepts: Solid understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modelling, data quality.
  • Database Knowledge: Strong understanding of relational databases and their structures.
  • Documentation: Excellence in creating clear, structured technical and business documentation.
  • Data Migration Experience: Previous experience in data migration projects strongly preferred.
  • Nice to have: Python/R basics, experience with Azure/cloud platforms, financial services domain knowledge.

Critical Soft Skills

  • Translation ability: Can explain technical concepts to business users and vice versa.
  • Collaborative mindset: Comfortable working as part of a technical team, not leading it.
  • Detail orientation: Catches discrepancies others miss, documents thoroughly.
  • Pragmatic approach: Balances perfect with practical, focuses on delivering value.
  • Intellectual curiosity: Asks "why" to understand root needs, not just surface requests.
  • Stakeholder management: Confident presenting to executives, patient with various technical literacy levels.
