About the Role:

Brooks is a prominent leader in the Semiconductor industry, well-known for our innovative technology and sustainable solutions. As part of our strategic expansion in Malaysia, we are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Recruiter to join our Talent Attraction team.

This role will be based at our Greenfield production facility in Johor Bahru, Malaysia and will be mainly responsible for high-volume Manufacturing and Operations recruitment. As the internal account manager and strategic advisor for proactive workforce planning/recruiting, you are responsible for maintaining effective internal customer relationships to support building the talent pool for multiple assigned functions, while maintaining service excellence at the highest level.

As a brand ambassador for Brooks, you will focus on delivering outstanding talent while providing proactive and timely communication on the search status. You will collaborate with the business, which includes our HR Partners and the assigned functional leaders, and be the subject matter expert in talent attraction, providing consultative direction and industry expertise to hiring leaders.

Work Location: This is an onsite role and requires the candidate to be based at our Johor Bahru site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source, screen, and select candidates for various roles within the factory utilizing diverse and innovative recruitment channels including job boards, social media, job fairs, open houses and employee referrals, etc.

  • Build relationships with vocational schools, training centers, and other relevant institutions to maintain a steady talent pool for proactive hiring

  • Collaborate with factory management to understand workforce requirements and align recruitment efforts accordingly.

  • Conduct interviews, assessments, and background checks; ensure job advertisements are clear, attractive, and compliant with company standards and legal requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian employment laws and regulations throughout the recruitment process.

  • Provide regular reports and updates on recruitment activities and metrics.

  • Partner with internal teams to support workforce planning and talent management initiatives.

  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.

  • Coordinate with HR and other departments to handle new hire paperwork and orientation.

  • Any other ad hoc duties and / or projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Degree or Diploma with 7-10 years’ experience in full-cycle recruitment (direct sourcing, screening, interviewing, offering candidates, issuing employment contracts etc.), from an In-House, Agency or RPO background.

  • Proven track record in recruiting blue-collar workers; must have at least a few years of hands-on experience in high-volume hiring for Operators, Technicians, Factory Workers and other Warehouse, Production & Assembly and Supply Chain related positions

  • Strong internet and telephone research skills, including but not limited to LinkedIn, Boolean search, X-ray search techniques, “filetype” searches, AI, and image searches.

  • Experience using recruitment technologies such as Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), social media tools and artificial intelligence; Workday experience will be a plus

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Well-versed in Malaysian Employment Law and common Human Resources principles, practices and metrics related to talent acquisition.

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) in English & Bahasa Malaysia; must be able to engage comfortably and effectively with local and regional stakeholders.
