Workflow and Technical Sales Specialist – North America

Job Description

Brooks Laboratory Automation Solutions, our clinical diagnostic division, specializes in the manufacture of small, cost-effective compact, flexible and scalable benchtop automation for optimizing pre- and post-analytical workflows in pathology laboratories, and has installations worldwide. We are looking for our next Workflow and Technical Sales Specialist as we accelerate our growth journey.

What you’ll do:

  • Use your consultative selling skills to hunt new business opportunities, In consultation with the Sales Director and Regional Sales Manager, and support the expansion of our install base in North America,

  • In consultation with the Sales Director and Regional Sales Manager, by performing laboratory workflow analyses, site visits and recommendations for appropriate products and configurations to meet the specific laboratory’s requirements,

  • Be motivated to meet new people, form strong relationships and become a trusted advisor for laboratories which will in turn grow our business,

  • Work with end user accounts and channel partners/distributors to facilitate effective account management and growth,

  • Deliver technical training to our end users, channel partners and Customer Solutions Specialists either remotely or on-site (domestic and international),

  • Instigate appropriate reporting to ensure traceability of problems, resolutions and corrective actions as well as escalation of product non-conformance trends and utilization,

  • Provide local and remote technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment,

  • Co-ordinate and assist on-site servicing, corrective maintenance, installation and qualification of instruments, primarily in Pathology Laboratories

What you’ll bring:

  • An undergraduate degree in Medical Sciences,

  • A successful track record in a sales/business development role in the healthcare market,

  • Experience with laboratory automation solutions, with knowledge of medical laboratories highly regarded,

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills (written and oral) using business and user-friendly language with a commercial mindset,

  • Ability to think outside the box to troubleshoot complex customer challenges,

  • A natural affinity for customer service,

  • Self-motivated, results-driven and well organized and able to handle multiple tasks with a clear sense of ownership and priority,

  • A current full drivers’ license and reliable vehicle,

  • Based on the East Coast would be an advantage.
