Test Engineer

Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer to join our team in Johor Bahru as we establish our first Greenfield manufacturing facility in Malaysia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in running test programs, executing complex tests, and analyzing data to ensure the quality and reliability of our Semiconductor Equipment products. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in maintaining high standards of performance and efficiency in our overall testing processes.

What you'll do:

  • Work closely with Manufacturing Engineers/ Test Technicians to operate production test fixtures for all products.

  • Help with system level testing and solving test issues.

  • Work closely with Product, Design and Quality Engineering on Software and Testing requirements during different design phases.

  • Develop and implement test plans and procedures for semiconductor devices using Automated Test Equipment (ATE).

  • Assist in optimizing test programs to improve test efficiency and reduce cycle times.

  • Analyze test data to identify defects, assess product reliability, and recommend corrective actions.

  • Collaborate with design and process engineering teams to resolve test failures and enhance product yields.

  • Document and report test results, providing insights for continuous process improvement.

  • Ensure testing processes comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements

  • Other duties as assigned.

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or other related field, with 6-8 years of experience in semiconductor test engineering, with a focus on ATE.

  • Proficient in test program development, data analysis, and troubleshooting.

  • Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and yield improvement techniques.

  • Basic analog and digital electronics design skills.

  • Ability to use lab test equipment, such as multimeter, oscilloscope, function generator, etc.

  • Ability to read and decipher schematics and wiring diagrams

  • Periodic physical lifting of electronic modules, test equipment, etc. over 25 lbs

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements

Additional Skills (preferable, but not required):

  • Experience with vacuum and leak detection equipment

  • Knowledgeable in servo motor control and tuning.

  • Knowledge of semiconductor wafer fabrication.

  • Experience with wireless technology and specifically RFID
