Shipping Clerk

Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Clerk to join our Warehouse team in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. As a Shipping Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and timely dispatch of goods to our customers. You will manage shipping documentation, coordinate with carriers, and support efficient warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process shipping documents, including invoices, packing lists, and labels, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

  • Communicate with shipping companies, freight forwarders, and other logistics providers to arrange pickups and deliveries, optimizing schedules to meet customer requirements.

  • Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure that the correct items and quantities are being shipped, and that all products meet quality standards.

  • Collaborate with inventory and warehouse teams to ensure that stock levels are sufficient to fulfill orders and that inventory records are up to date.

  • Monitor and track shipments, providing updates to customers and internal teams on the status of deliveries.

  • Process and document returned goods, coordinating with relevant departments to resolve any issues and update inventory records.

  • Keep detailed records of all shipping activities, including shipment dates, costs, and carrier performance, to ensure accurate reporting and audit readiness.

  • Ensure that all shipping activities comply with local and international regulations, including customs requirements and safety standards

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment; additional qualifications in logistics, supply chain management, or related field is a plus.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.

  • Proficiency in using shipping software and inventory management systems; basic computer skills.

  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving packages as needed.
