Job Description

The Business Analyst will work closely with the Program/ R&D Management, with the Product Management teams, as well as with the Business Finance Team. Further, with business stakeholders from other varying departments, partners, and locations to fully define and help achieving business objectives. The Business Analyst will refine and expand existing high-level requirements in these work areas and will provide quality deliverables and reports in the assigned areas. The business analyst works closely with the General Manager and his team regarding all sales forecast and outlook scenarios, and with Program and Finance Management to help ensuring that the R&D programs with the product vision, strategic plan, and defined product roadmap. Further, that the financial aspects and financial cases of the R&D programs reflects these aspects.

With respect to the support of management of R&D programs, the related Zero-Based Budgeting cycles, and the support of sales forecast and outlook cycles, the Business Analyst has these main tasks:

  • Preparation of reports and projections/ business cases based on analyses. Both for R&D Controlling/ ZBB and Sales Controlling.

  • Analysis of past and current financial performance and other data in the areas of sales (products, customers, regions) and R&D programs and projects.

  • Identifies financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.

  • Supports standard and program/ project cost analysis.

  • Continuously improves financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending improvements to management.

  • Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data.

  • Maintains databases by entering, verifying, and backing up data.

  • Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses.

  • Ensure that the role-assigned requirements are captured, and the respective deliverables are prepared at the appropriate level of detail so that the General Manager, the Finance Director and the Program/ R&D Managers have what they need to efficiently perform their roles.

  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal customers and business partners to analyze information needs into both functional and non-functional requirements.

  • Very good analytical and a good level of project management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer and business needs and translate them into operational requirements.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, corporate language is English, and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of peers, executives, managers, and other subject matter experts.

What will You bring?

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance/ controlling with 2-4 years in practical experience, or Master with 0-1 years; or its equivalent in years of professional experience in this area.

  • Financial acumen and proficient with MS Office Products; user experience with Oracle Cloud helpful (or similar tools).

  • Experience in gathering and analyzing data.

  • Experience working with sales, finance and technical teams.

  • Ability to work across various levels of the organization.

  • Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.

  • Ability to think creatively, takes initiative, and works independently.

What are Add-Ons to the role?

  • 5+ years in a finance/ sales business analyst role and strong technical/ scientific role background of 2+ years.

  • Strong financial and technical acumen.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or scientific related field.

  • Previous business analyst role within a semiconductor or other high-tech industry background.
