Electrical Technician

Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Technician to join the Facilities team at our Greenfield, Semiconductor manufacturing facility in Johor, Malaysia. The Electrical Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Electrical Systems, ensuring optimal environmental conditions within the facility.

This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a solid technical background in Electrical systems, ideally with experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

Work Location: Onsite - Johor Bahru.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment, including Circuit Breakers.

  • System Monitoring and Troubleshooting - Monitor electrical system performance and identify issues or inefficiencies.

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical system malfunctions, making necessary adjustments or repairs promptly to minimize downtime.

  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance checks on all electrical systems and equipment to ensure continuous operation and peak performance.

  • Maintain a comprehensive log of all maintenance activities, system checks, and repairs.

  • Ensure all electrical work is carried out in compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and relevant industry standards.

  • Assist in maintaining a clean and safe working environment in all areas of the facility.

  • Work closely with the Facilities Manager and other team members to coordinate electrical-related activities and support other facility maintenance tasks as required.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to other team members on electrical related issues.

  • Any other duties assigned

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Diploma or Certification in Electrical systems, or a related field with 3-5 years of hands-on experience as an Electrical Technician in a Semiconductor or Manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial electrical equipment.

  • Familiarity with control systems, electrical components, and mechanical operations of electrical systems.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and manuals.

  • Experience in electrical wiring systems within a Cleanroom environment.

  • Knowledge of semiconductor industry standards and protocols.

  • Certification in energy management or electrical controls.

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
