Quality Assurance Inspector

Job Description

Work Location: Onsite – Johor, Malaysia.

Temporary site: Tanjung Pelepas, Gelang Patah

Permanent Site (We will be moving in Q3 of 2025): Pasir Gudang

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team in the semiconductor industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong character, representing customer interests with a particular focus on quality requirements. This role demands exceptional attention to detail and a robust background in quality inspection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of semiconductor products to ensure compliance with stringent quality standards.
  • Represent customer interests by advocating for high-quality requirements and addressing any concerns.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and protocols.
  • Perform regular audits and assessments of manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions using RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) and 8D methodologies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of inspection results and quality metrics.
  • Train and mentor junior quality inspectors to uphold quality standards.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in semiconductor technology.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance within the semiconductor industry.
  • Strong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and quality control methodologies.
  • Certification in Quality Assurance (e.g., CQI, Six Sigma) is preferred.
  • Proven track record of advocating for customer quality requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in RCCA and 8D methodologies.
  • Proficiency in using quality inspection tools and software.
