SIAR Change Analyst

Job Description

About Brooks:

Brooks is a leading provider of automation solutions with over 40 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, offering precision robotics, integrated automation systems, and contamination control solutions that empower chip manufacturers worldwide. Our product portfolio includes a range of automation solutions, including robots, vacuum systems, and atmospheric robots for semiconductor manufacturing (www.brooks.com).

Work Location: Pasir Gudang, Johor Bahru.

About the role:

Brooks relies on supplier-initiated changes to keep our products buildable, cost-effective, and compliant. As an SIAR Change Analyst you will own intake, data quality, routing, and lifecycle management of Supplier Initiated Action Requests (SIARs) from submission through operational execution. You will coordinate across Sourcing, Buyers/SQEs, Engineering, Quality, Product/Program Management, and Document Control to ensure complete documentation, timely decisions, and clean linkage to ECO/MCO/DCO for a closed-loop process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Intake & triage: Validate SIAR submissions (affected items, attachments, change class/type, waiver needs). Ensure completeness before routing.

  • Workflow execution in PLM: Drive the Agile PLM SIAR lifecycle (Documentation Audit → Technical Validation → Cross-Functional Review → Operational Execution). Add correct approvers/observers; record decisions and rationale; maintain audit-ready records.

  • Cross-functional coordination: Facilitate CFRs; align Engineering validators, Quality, Buyers/SQEs, and Product/Program stakeholders; escalate proactively when resources are OOO or builds are at risk.

  • Downstream change control: Link SIARs to ECO/MCO/DCO and verify closed-loop completion; support Copy Exact and interchangeability rules.

  • Supplier & stakeholder enablement: Be a contact point for suppliers on submission quality, required evidence (e.g., PCNs/EOLs), and status; partner with Buyers/SQEs on waiver scope/dates.

  • Data quality & compliance: Enforce standards for naming, attachments, and traceability; support export-control-sensitive routing per guidance.

  • Metrics & improvement: Maintain dashboards (cycle time by SIAR type, first-pass completeness, CFR SLA adherence, backlog aging, EOL exposure, waiver aging/expiry) and recommend process/automation improvements.

  • Any other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5–7 years’ experience in a Manufacturing/Hardware environment (Semiconductor equipment, Capital equipment, Industrial/Robotics, or similar).

  • Hands-on PLM change control experience (ECR/ECO/MCO/DCO); Oracle Agile PLM preferred.

  • ERP familiarity (Oracle Cloud ERP or similar) for item/PO context and reporting.

  • Ability to read BOMs/drawings and understand FFF impacts to route intelligently.

  • Strong organizational rigor (checklists, data validation, audit-ready documentation).

  • Clear communication with engineers, suppliers, and operations; ability to drive actions across time zones.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Semiconductor equipment or precision machining supplier-base exposure.

  • PMP or other project management certifications/experience will be highly desirable.

  • Familiarity with Copy Exact, EOL/PCN handling, waivers, and CFR governance.

  • Reporting/automation skills (Excel/PowerQuery, Power BI; Power Automate a plus).

  • Tools & Systems

  • PLM: Oracle Agile PLM (ECR/ECO/MCO/DCO, Affected Items, Relationships)

  • ERP: Oracle Cloud ERP

  • Productivity: Microsoft 365 (Teams/SharePoint/Excel/Power BI)

  • Experience with supplier portals and collaboration workflows.
