Warehouse Assistant

Brooks – Laboratory Automation Solutions specialises in the design and manufacture of compact benchtop automation systems that optimise pre- and post-analytical workflows in pathology and analytical laboratories. With installations across the globe, we are proud to support laboratories in achieving greater efficiency and accuracy.

As our team continues to expand, we are seeking a Junior Warehouse & Manufacturing Assistant to support our warehouse and manufacturing operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking company and grow your career in a supportive and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Goods Inwards & Inventory Management

    • Receive, inspect, and record incoming goods following company procedures.

    • Use ERP system (e.g. Oracle Cloud) to update inventory

    • Assist with stock control, inventory counts, and maintaining accurate records in inventory systems.

  • Production Support

    • Assist manufacturing staff with assembly tasks, component preparation, and packaging of finished goods.

    • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of warehouse and production areas to support efficient workflow.

  • Logistics Coordination

    • Collaborate with the Warehouse and Logistic Coordinators to ensure timely movement of goods.

  • Compliance & Safety

    • Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment.

    • Ensure compliance with company policies and quality standards in all warehouse and manufacturing activities.

  • Team Collaboration

    • Work closely with cross-functional teams including logistics, production, quality assurance, purchasing and finance.

    • Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

You’re a reliable and proactive individual who thrives in a hands-on environment. You take pride in your attention to detail and enjoy working as part of a team to achieve shared goals. You’re organised, adaptable, and committed to maintaining high standards in both warehouse and manufacturing operations.

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • A current LF forklift licence (preferred but not essential).

  • Strong communication skills across all levels of staff and management.

  • Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and ERP systems (e.g. Oracle Cloud, preferred but not essential).

  • Familiarity with inventory management and purchasing processes (preferred but not essential).

  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.

  • A flexible and adaptable approach to changing priorities.

  • A strong sense of responsibility and commitment to doing things right.

  • A collaborative mindset and proven ability to work effectively in a team.
