Customer Support EngineerJob Description
We are seeking a Customer Support Engineer to join our team in Northern Ireland, based at our customer site. This role provides highly visible, on-site support for tool-down situations and service agreement commitments, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. While primarily located in Northern Ireland, the position requires flexibility for occasional travel within the EU and the US for training and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver highly visible, front-line support for field service activities at customer sites.
- Perform maintenance and repair of products in line with company standards.
- Conduct fault-finding and troubleshooting to resolve or escalate issues within agreed timeframes.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and safety standards during service activities.
- Provide detailed feedback and compile clear, concise reports for customers and internal teams.
Role Requirements
- Education: University degree or formal qualification in electrical, electromechanical, or mechanical discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of field service experience in a related industry, ideally in a customer-facing semiconductor environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and proactive attitude.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation, including drawings and electrical schematics.
- Familiarity with Ethernet and serial protocol connections; proficient PC skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness to travel within EU and US for training.
- Full, clean driving license.
