Material Review Coordinator

Job Description

About the Role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Material Review Coordinator to join our Greenfield manufacturing facility in Johor, Malaysia. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the handling of Non-Conforming Materials (NCM) to ensure that our production process runs smoothly and efficiently. You will play a key role in identifying issues, maintaining compliance, and supporting the implementation of corrective actions.

Work Location: Onsite – Johor Bahru.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately record and report all non-conforming materials (NCM) in the system, ensuring that all information is up-to-date and properly logged.

  • Assist in conducting root cause analyses to identify the factors leading to non-conformance and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop corrective actions.

  • Liaise with Production, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure the efficient resolution of NCM issues, including communication with suppliers as needed.

  • Manage the disposition process for non-conforming materials, including decisions on rework, return to suppliers, or scrapping, in compliance with company procedures.

  • Ensure that all handling of NCM aligns with internal quality standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

  • Generate regular reports and maintain records for all NCM activities, highlighting trends and areas for potential process improvement.

  • Actively contribute to process improvement initiatives to reduce the occurrence of non-conforming materials and enhance overall product quality.

  • Any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Diploma in a related field such as Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality Management with a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing or quality control environment, preferably within capital equipment manufacturing for Semiconductor industry. Having a degree is an advantage.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns and discrepancies in data.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with MRP or quality management systems is a plus.

  • Ability to think critically and contribute to developing practical solutions to non-conformance issues.
