Electromechanical Assembly Technician (Collaborative Robots)Job Description
Brooks has expanded its capabilities to include Collaborative Robots. Brooks PreciseFlex Robots is based out of Livermore, California, and has developed a line of "Collaborative" Robots that possess the unique ability to work alongside humans without causing harm in the event of a collision. This technology places Collaborative Robotics at the forefront of the rapidly growing robot market.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
•Perform manufacturing operations related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final system assemblies.
•Work with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks as well as conducting experiments.
•Determine or assist in developing methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings, and/or diagrams to control or modify the manufacturing process.
•Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.
•Provide guidance to other non-exempt personnel and may lead or supervise activities within a team lead function.
•Follow established procedures, processes, or policies.
•Resolve problems with assistance from peers or supervisor depending on the level and complexity.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
•Minimum of 5 years of electromechanical assembly experience required in manufacturing operations, preferably in a high-tech industry.
•Excellent understanding of manufacturing processes and principles.
•Experience in conducting experiments, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
•Proficient in using sophisticated programs and tools to collect and evaluate operating data.
•Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
•Demonstrated ability to mentor and transfer knowledge to more junior staff members.
•Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
•Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related discipline preferred.
•Ability to read / interpret schematics / blueprints preferred.
•Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Compensation
Base Salary Range: $35.04 USD to $47.40 USDFactors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
