About the Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Material Review Board Specialist / MRB Specialist to join our greenfield manufacturing facility in Johor, Malaysia. In this role, you will be responsible for managing Material Review Board (MRB) processes, ensuring timely resolution of non-conformance materials (NCM).
This role owns end to end Non-Conformance Materials (NCM) governance, drives cross functional accountability, and ensure timely, compliant disposition of materials. This position combines hands on operational execution, data driven analysis, and people leadership, with strong visibility to management.
Work Location: Onsite - Pasir Gudang, Johor Bahru
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate forums or avenues for cross-functional teams (Production, Engineering, Quality, Supplier Quality, Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehouse) to resolve non-conformance material cases.
Follow up and ensure necessary action in place from responsible owner to close NCM, escalating delays when necessary.
Analyze data and trends to identify top or recurring issues, and present focus areas to management.
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with QMS standards and regulatory requirements.
Prepare reports and dashboards to monitor key performance metrics.
Support continuous improvement initiatives for NCM disposition and process or workflows efficiency.
Act as subject matter expert for NCM workflow, including related processes such as RTV (Return to Vendor) and Scrap workflows.
Lead a team of Material Review Coordinators (MRC) in daily NCM operations execution: ensuring workflow compliance, accurate real-time transactions, and proper MRB/RTV/Scrap inventory management.
Perform additional duties as assigned, with potential for expanded responsibilities as the role evolves.
Qualifications & Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing, quality, operations, inventory control, or related roles; capital equipment industry experience is a plus.
Experience in leading a team and driving operational execution.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficient in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Smartsheet).
Strong follow up, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Solid understanding of QMS, non-conformance management and root cause analysis.
Strong sense of inventory control, inventory organization and shop floor discipline.
