About the Role:
As a Continuous Improvement Analyst at our brand-new Brooks Automation factory in Johor Bahru, you’ll be at the forefront of transforming how we operate. With Brooks rapidly expanding our manufacturing footprint in Malaysia, this role is critical to ensuring our new facility scales efficiently and delivers world‑class performance from day one.
You’ll drive initiatives that boost efficiency, elevate quality, streamline processes, and build a culture where continuous improvement is part of everyday operations.
In this high-impact role, you’ll work across multiple departments to lead projects that optimize cost, quality, and schedule performance across our manufacturing sites—directly shaping how our new facility scales and succeeds.
Work Location: Onsite – Pasir Gudang, Johor Bahru.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations: Strong in structured problem‑solving and waste reduction techniques, utilizing improvement methodologies, tools and techniques such as Lean, Six Sigma, or other improvement frameworks to identify, scope and implement continuous improvement projects include project selection, scope and overall assignment, launch, prioritization tracking and deliverable align with KPI targets and site business.
Manufacturing Process Automation: Primarily focus on using Python programming, Power BI, MS 365 applications include (not limited to) Power Automate, PowerApps, MS List and any other similar programing language to develop and implement process automation, data science management and machine learning enhancing operational efficiency.
Data Analysis: Conduct surveys and analyze best practices of improvement methodologies, tools and techniques such as Lean, Six Sigma, or other improvement frameworks to assess current processes, develop improvement strategies and measure the impact of improvement initiatives. Able to collect and analyze data using Data analytics & dashboards (Power BI), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Python or SQL for analysis.
Foster Continuous Improvement Culture: Work with leaders and cross functional team to coach continuous improvement methodologies, tools and techniques to ensure they are trained, equipped and utilized best practice in driving operational efficiencies.
Documentation and communication: Develop and maintain accurate document updates with latest improvements as well as communicate effectively to the involved stakeholder.
Key Performance Indicators: Successful outcomes should include quantifiable results in reduction of production cycle times, decreased waste (7 methods of waste in Lean), increased visibility into KPIs and an improvement in 4 key categories Safety, Quality, Output and Cost while qualitative result in achieving issue identified for longer term improvement, coaching & training and effectiveness apply best practice of continuous improvement methodologies, tools and techniques.

Qualifications & Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering or a related field, with 5–7 years of relevant experience in a similar role, ideally within semiconductor capital equipment or other high‑tech manufacturing industries.
Proficient in Python programming, with demonstrated ability to develop and implement process automation, data science workflows, and machine‑learning solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement frameworks; Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) certification is an advantage.
Hands‑on experience with manufacturing equipment or automation systems, including involvement in Machine Learning/AI development.
Proven track record of delivering measurable process improvements or automation‑driven cost savings.
Skilled in data collection, process simulation, and analysis of materials and manufacturing workflows, providing valuable insights to cross‑functional teams and management.
Demonstrated success in driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Well‑versed in project management, data analytics tools, coaching, and training.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify, prioritize, and drive root‑cause corrective actions and make data‑driven decisions.
Able to collaborate effectively with management and cross‑functional teams to implement proposed improvement plans.
High energy, change‑driven mindset with a passion for building a world‑class manufacturing operation.
Excellent attention to detail and strong problem‑solving capabilities.
