About the Role:

Join Our Team as a Master Data Analyst – Supply Chain!


We’re looking for a skilled Master Data Analyst to be part of Brooks Automation’s Supply Chain team at our new Greenfield manufacturing facility in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. In this role, you’ll be the guardian of our most critical supply chain data—ensuring it is accurate, consistent, and up-to-date across multiple systems. Your expertise will help drive smooth operations and informed decision-making across the organization.

This position offers exposure to advanced ERP platforms and cross-functional collaboration, providing an excellent opportunity to grow your expertise in a dynamic, international environment.

Work Location: Onsite – Pasir Gudang, Johor Bahru.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating, managing and maintaining master data – Overseeing large volumes of data, setting data governance policies, and ensuring data quality to support business operations.

  • Collaborating with cross functional teams – Working closely within SCM, IT, finance, and operations departments to standardize data and implement data management strategies.

  • Develop and maintain master data records - Ensuring data accuracy, quality and integrity.

  • Developing data management processes – Creating and maintaining master data records and developing data management policies.

  • Coordinate with local/corporate Oracle Cloud team for data import/exports.

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand and gather their data requirements.

  • Develop data models and database designs to support these requirements.

  • Define and implement data standards, policies and procedures.

  • Coordinate with different departments heads to identify key areas for data quality improvements.

  • Conduct data cleansing to ensure old, unused and duplicate data is removed and ensure data is current.

  • Ensure that all master data is compliant with data privacy and protection regulations.

  • Perform regular data audits and resolve any issues.

  • Prepare detailed reports regarding the statuses, results, and issues that occur during data management activities.

  • Additional duties based on business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Materials and/or Business Management or Supply Chain Management or equivalent with 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.

  • Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems and strong background or experience is dealing with data management and/or master data management.

  • Familiarity with planning, costing, inventory, materials (description, Part number, SKU, manufacturer, supplier details), Unit of Measure (UOM) and Build of Materials (BOM) structures (supply type).

  • Computer literate with experience using MS Office (Word, Excel, Access) and added knowledge is Excel Macro programming/Business Intelligence tool is a plus point.

  • Possess strong data analytics skills and is process / solution oriented, with experience in data mining/modelling, cleaning raw data, finding patterns and understanding trends.

  • Knowledge of Value Stream Mapping / Lean management and Continuous Improvement methodologies is a plus.

  • Detail oriented with good organizational skills; fluent in English (spoken & written).

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and regulatory authorities.

  • Meticulous, detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
