About the Role:
Brooks Automation is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to join our Finance team supporting our Semiconductor Business.
Reporting to the Business Unit Director of Finance (based in the US), this role will be responsible for consolidating and analyzing financial data, while supporting business unit leaders across various planning and analysis activities. You will assist in developing budgets, forecasts, and other financial reports for designated organizations.
You will also play a key role in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including reviewing expense accruals, validating cost center coding, and proactively managing and resolving variances throughout the close cycle. Additionally, this role will leverage financial systems to improve efficiency and enhance reporting capabilities.
Work Location: Onsite – Pasir Gudang, Johor Bahru.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in the forecast planning processes to include maintaining systems, coordinating templates and interpreting inputs from key stakeholders.
Load forecast inputs into FP&A system for all forecasting cycles including, but not limited to revenue and standard costs, operating expenses, and other manufacturing expense categories.
Perform regular consolidation and reporting of roll-up data from across the Semiconductor business, reconciling with the business when needed.
Proactively monitor progress throughout the quarter and drive root cause analysis to correct and prevent additional data and process issues.
Track monthly progress to financial forecasts and explain key drivers of variances.
Deliver key reports to team to help drive key business initiatives including but not limited to inventory, PPV, E&O, and Scrap.
Prepare reporting to support various quarterly reviews including Excess and Obsolete Inventory, PPV, and Scrap.
Provide support in creating packages for senior leadership to help deliver key results, metrics, and actionable insights.
Develop, generate and publish monthly and quarterly financial metrics and results.
Increase efficiency by developing automated reporting and standardized work products customized to address business needs.
Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance, or equivalent professional experience is required; an advanced degree or experience in Data Analytics is a strong plus.
Minimum of 5–7 years of relevant financial or accounting experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
Proven experience in reporting automation with a strong process improvement mindset.
Experience working with US GAAP standards and supporting SOX compliance requirements.
Professional accounting qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent are advantageous to have.
Proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle preferred), as well as Power BI, Tableau, Workday Adaptive (or equivalent), and the full Microsoft Office suite. Advanced Excel skills are required.
Demonstrated self‑starter attitude with a strong desire to learn, grow, and take full ownership of responsibilities.
Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and leaders across global locations.
