Calix provides the cloud, software platforms, systems, and services required for communications service providers to simplify their businesses, excite their subscribers and grow their value.


  • Manage the continuous development and optimization of a high performing Sales Engineering team
  • Develop and drive territory, business, and account planning in tandem with the field sales leaders
  • Collaborate with sales resources to bring subject matter expertise, strategy and support for customer engagements
  • Develop strong relationships with large and strategic customers and partners
  • Aggregate feedback from customers into Calix product development and field marketing teams to improve our portfolio and value messaging
  • Present on Calix and industry topics at both public events and customer briefings
  • Work closely with technology partners to help complement the Calix solution
  • Work closely with VARs to aggressively grow our business


  • Minimum 10 years of experience in networking, industry trends and standards, and managed services
  • Minimum 5 years of proven leadership experience in technical and services solution selling
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience as a Sales Engineer and/or SE leader
  • Strong knowledge in customer support operations and familiar with customer support systems
  • Familiarity with data analytics and telemetry to run and track sales campaigns
  • Experience with Cloud based customer support and operational SaaS based solutions
  • Strong interpersonal, written and public speaking skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple audiences and levels internally and externally
  • Demonstrated leadership experience working with teams across all aspects of the sales pursuit
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred, related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Track record leading technical teams who consistently over-achieve assigned objectives

Location: Southeast United States: FL, GA, SC, NC, TN, AL, MS, LA


Compensation will vary based on geographical location (see below) within the United States. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's location of residence and multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, and education.

San Francisco Bay Area Only:

268,000.00 - 402,000.00 USD Annual

National Major Cities plus, CA, CO, NY Metro area:

233,000.00 - 349,600.00 USD Annual

Regional plus NY:

209,700.00 - 314,600.00 USD Annual
