Description

The company's product portfolio is based on proprietary carbon and glass composite materials used in high value ACCC™ electrical transmission conductors supplied to the electrical transmission markets.

CTC’s advanced performance conductor products help utility customers improve their critical transmission infrastructure with reduced capital cost, higher efficiency and reduced environmental impact. ACCC Conductor is the leading conductor product in the high growth “High-Performance Transmission Conductor” market segment. CTC has established a leading market position in this segment and has a demonstrated track record with several of the leading utilities. These successes clearly demonstrate the tremendous potential for growth of ACCC conductors.

CTC is currently seeking a high impact Manager of Business Development for the Southeast region of the United States. The Manager of BD, as a key member of the ACCC business development team, will be responsible for sales of high-value ACCC conductor products to assigned utility accounts in the U.S.. CTC has established a reputable position with leading U.S. utilities but have significant opportunities to expand the sales of ACCC with numerous large U.S. utilities currently not being served. The growth opportunity for ACCC in the U.S. is enormous and this position will provide lucrative success-based financial incentives for the right individual. The Manager of Business Development will be based in the in the U.S. and have demonstrated success in selling capital products to the U.S. utilities. The Manager of Business development will report directly to the VP of NAM Sales and will work closely with the current U.S. business development team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drive customer opportunities from prospect to close, delivering revenue in excess of the annual sales plan.
  • Develop and execute strategies to deliver revenue growth with new and existing utility customers, both directly and through sales channels.
  • Execute on plans and strategies in conjunction with CTC’s commercial team to support the Company business objectives. The strategies should establish a significant presence at strategic accounts to increase sales.
  • Prepare program proposals targeted at specifically defined transmission projects. Manage, present and close on the opportunities.
  • Establish and cultivate long-term, influential relationships with key decision-makers at customers, identifying product needs and assisting them in the evaluation and benefits of advanced conductors
  • Review and interpret customer specifications and applications with assistance from Engineering
  • Follow standardized sales process to ensure unified approach and greatest chance of success
  • Keep customer information and activity up to date in CRM database

As a key member of the company business development team, the position will include extensive participation in development and execution of plans and strategies to grow the ACCC business in the territory.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree (Engineering or STEM discipline, preferred)
  • 10+ years experience in a commercial/commercial support role to the utility industry in the United States or comparable experience in other applicable industries.
  • Demonstrated experience in sales of high value capital products to the utility industry in the United States or comparable experience in other applicable industries.
  • Travel as required to achieve objectives.
  • Confidence in abilities and willingness to work under success - based compensation
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a simple, compelling manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to work and be successful in a remote role
  • Extremely detail-oriented with strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Exceptional personal initiative and desire to drive continuous improvement
  • Experience working with MS Dynamics or similar CRMs.
  • Works effectively with others in a team-based environment to accomplish organizational goals and to identify and resolve problems
