Panlab, an affiliate of Harvard Bioscience a leading provider of advanced behavioral research instrumentation, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Continuation Engineering team. This role is critical to ensuring the ongoing performance, reliability, and lifecycle support of our behavioral lines. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in electrical systems, hands-on troubleshooting, and product support, while collaborating closely with engineering and production teams in Barcelona and USA. Fluency in both Spanish and English is required to support global communication and documentation needs.

What are we looking for?

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Continuation Engineering team in Barcelona. This position will provide high-level technical expertise to support the lifecycle management, reliability, and performance of our behavioral product portfolio. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in electrical systems, hands-on troubleshooting, and product support, while collaborating closely with engineering, production in Barcelona and USA.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical issues at the component and system level.

Work closely with manufacturing teams on the production floor to identify root causes, resolve electrical technical issues, and implement sustainable corrective actions.

Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to drive product improvements and resolve technical challenges.

Support lifecycle management activities, including component obsolescence analysis, redesigns and documentation updates.

Conduct validation, verification, and testing activities for product modifications and updates.

Support the design and development of new products.

Create and maintain accurate technical documentation in both Spanish and English.

Provide training and technical guidance to technicians and production staff.

While not required, experience with firmware development is highly desirable and will be considered a strong differentiator.

Must have:

Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related discipline or equivalent technical experience.

Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in electrical/electronic troubleshooting and product design or manufacturing support

Strong knowledge of analog and digital electronics, PCB-level troubleshooting, and system-level integration

Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers and soldering/rework.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English.

Ability to create and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaborate on teams

Experience with laboratory instrumentation, behavioral research products, or medical devices is highly desirable.

Experience with Firmware development and maintenance is a plus.
