THE OPPORTUNITY

Harvard Bioscience is currently seeking a Quality & Process Manager in our Reutlingen office to support our expanding production footprint and growing demand for our solutions. The Quality & Process Manager will play a key role in ensuring consistent product quality and efficient operational processes by driving quality standards, improving workflows, and collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams. This position spans a broad range of quality and process management responsibilities and contributes directly to the successful execution of our growth strategy.

Essential Job Functions

  • Ensure and further develop the quality management system in preparation for potential certification according to ISO 9001 or ISO 13485
  • Analyze deviations and initiate, implement, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions
  • Define and monitor relevant quality key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Implement and oversee compliance with legal and internal HSE requirements
  • Responsible for hazardous substance management
  • Analyze, optimize, and standardize production and business processes
  • Apply Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
  • Support process and product introductions
  • Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standards
  • Contribute to cross‑functional improvement and digitalization projects

skills and abilities required

  • Experience with quality and process management methodologies
  • Analytical, structured, and solution‑oriented working style
  • Structured, independent, and reliable working style
  • Strong hands-on mentality as well as strong communication skills
  • Confident user of MS Office, especially Excel
  • Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken

Bonus skills and experience

  • Several years of professional experience in quality management, project management, or process engineering

Education and Experience and/or equivalent

  • Completed degree in engineering, quality management, or a comparable field

Physical demands

  • Minimal physical demands; primarily sedentary office work.

  • Occasional travel may be required for meetings, primarily within Germany or Europe.
