Position Summary:
We at Perforce are looking for Performance Test Engineer for Akana team in Pune. Akana provides an end-to-end API management and API security solution. We work in an agile product development process with a state-of-the art CI/CD environment with core values of results, teamwork, ownership, quality of work, problem solving, and service to external and internal customers.
Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to define performance, and scalability requirements.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure and performance testing frameworks that simulate production-like environments, enabling accurate and reliable performance evaluations.
- Implement test strategies focused on performance and scalability
- Develop and maintain performance test scripts using tools like JMeter, BlazeMeter, or similar.
- Execute load, stress, and soak testing, and analyse system behaviour under varying load conditions.
- Monitor and analyse system metrics (CPU, memory, threads, garbage collection, database) to identify bottlenecks and performance issues.
- Create and maintain performance test documentation, reports, and defect metrics for key stakeholders.
- Perform testing activities including manual, automated, and regression testing
- Contribute to Automation testing to maintain and improve the test coverage
- Actively participate in Agile Scrum teams, delivering high-quality software in three-week sprints.
- Work independently to complete assigned tasks on time and with high quality.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in Performance Testing and Quality Engineering roles
- Strong understanding of RESTful and SOAP APIs.
- Hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as Apache JMeter.
- Experience with test automation frameworks using Java
- Proficiency in manual testing techniques and test case design
- Familiarity with API automation testing tools such as Rest-Assured, TestNG, or similar.
- Experience in writing and maintaining automated test scripts for functional and regression testing.
- Familiarity with monitoring and APM tools like CloudWatch, ELK, etc.
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in Agile teams.
- Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git) and CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, Gradle.
- Passion for software quality and performance engineering.
- Nice to have: Familiarity with networking concepts, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, OAuth is plus or other API security concepts.
