Position Summary:
The Global Head of Product Management will be responsible for the overall vision, strategy, and execution of our product portfolio. This role demands a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and technological trends. The Head of PM will lead a team of product managers and collaborate closely with engineering, marketing, sales, and customer success teams to drive product innovation, market penetration, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role in a software development company.
- Proven track record of successfully leading product strategy and development for complex software businesses and products.
- Significant M&A and integration exposure with experience successfully executing an integration strategy
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Deep understanding of software development processes, technologies, and market trends.
- Experience with agile methodologies and user-centered design principles.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership
- Be part of the team that develops both the short- and long-term product strategy for key growth products in our portfolio.
- Communicate a compelling product vision and strategy aligned with the company’s business objectives to prospects, customers, partners, employees, and investors.
- Identify market opportunities and define product roadmaps to capitalize on them.
- Ensure that product plans are well-defined, feasible, and aligned with market demands and technological capabilities.
- As part of the Executive Team, participate in corporate decisions related to all aspects of the business.
- Product Management
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of key growth products across 4 business units.
- Collaborate with Business Unit General Managers on customer requests, market needs, competitive landscape and growth potential for key products that will help drive significant growth for Perforce.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to develop and deliver products that meet market needs and exceed customer expectations while also meeting delivery deadlines.
- Create proposals for product investments that will allow Perforce to capitalize on market trends.
- Interact with Analysts to provide product updates, briefings and gather market insights that will aid in developing product direction.
- Implement best practices for product management, including voice of customer, community feedback, agile methodologies, user-centered design, and continuous improvement.
- Market and Customer Insight
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer feedback to inform product decisions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders to understand their needs and gather feedback.
- Utilize data and analytics to drive product decisions and measure success.
- Partner with the SVP of M&A to assess and determine acquisition targets to expand our product family.
- Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the product management organization.
- Provide guidance and support to team members in their professional development.
- Support Perforce shared values and expectations
- Engagement and Collaboration
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure alignment and successful go-to-market strategies.
- Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to the executive team, board of directors, and other stakeholders.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, with analysts, and customer meetings.
- Financial and Operational Management
- Develop and manage the product management budget for the function.
- Lead team in building business cases for product expansion and enhancement and monitor success in through the sales process.
- Ensure that product initiatives are delivered within budget and meet financial targets.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics related to product performance and market impact.
