Logo Design Brief

I am launching a new YouTube channel that features a 50+ yr old who is starting over - finding out if there is still time, and if he still has what it takes, to live a meaningful life. He is living on an old sailboat that he is fixing up, sailing in the Caribbean, and attempting to see if he can go... "just a bit further." (This tag line is used at the end of every episode) The channel is about self-discovery, but has an "explorer" vibe. Other central themes include self-reliance, minimalism, and cultural travel. We are looking for something fun and unique (instantly recognizable). The logo is primarily for use as a YouTube and corresponding webpage logo - but additional marketing on t-shirts, etc. could be considered.
