Logo Design Brief
We are seeking a logo for a bookstore in a historic downtown community that feels classic, old, and timeless, something that could have existed 100 years ago and still feel relevant today. Our building was built in 1890, we want the logo to reflect the history.
The brand represents a place where people gather, feel welcome, and experience a sense of warmth and belonging. It should reflect openness, respect, and quiet confidence. This is a place where everyone can feel comfortable being themselves and discover something meaningful just for them. We carry books, games, puzzles, and other thoughtfully curated gifts.
The design should feel refined yet approachable, elevated but not exclusive, and welcoming without feeling trendy or casual.
We are drawn to aesthetics that feel:
Classic
Literary or heritage-inspired
Understated
Warm and inviting
Balanced and thoughtful
Please avoid overly modern, flashy, or whimsical styles. The goal is lasting simplicity and timeless character.

Requirements
Nice to have
- Would love something that translates well from a rectangular format to a square or circular format. Would love to see an idea using "WR" instead of the full name.
Should not have
- It can't say "Well Read Books" in the title, the word "books" can be incorporated as part of a tag line.
