Logo Design Brief

TGP Kids Ministry Logo

About Us:

The Gathering Place (TGP / The GP) is a new church in the Texas Hill Country.
Our vision is simple: Every life changed by the love of Jesus.

Our kids ministry is not childcare or a holding space while parents attend service — it is discipleship. We are raising up the next generation to know Jesus, walk in His ways, and carry their faith forward. Know. Grow. Go.

We need a logo that communicates that level of intentionality and weight.

The Project:
We need a primary logo (with variations) for our Kids ministry.

Working Names: TGP Kids, GP Kids, The GP Kids, TGP NexGen, The GP NexGen, GP NextGen, TGP Students, GP Students, GP Crew.

Work From Our Existing Brand
This is a sub-brand, not a standalone identity. We have attached our current TGP logos and brand assets to this listing.

Before designing, study them closely. Your Design must feel like part of the same family — a clear, intentional extension of our existing identity, not a disconnected concept.

Specifically, we want you to:
Pull from our established color palette, type system, and overall visual language found in the attached files.

Carry over recognizable elements (the mark, type treatment, or motif)
so a viewer instantly connects this logo to the parent TGP brand.

Then push it forward with energy and personality appropriate for a next-generation ministry, while still unmistakably belonging to Main organization.

Think of it as the same DNA with its own voice.
Reference the attached assets directly in your concept

What We Want:
Modern, cutting-edge, design-forward. Think the visual energy of a brand kids are actually excited to belong to. Stylish streetwear brand or a creative studio, then apply it to ministry.

Specifically:
Bold, intentional typography or a distinctive custom mark that harmonizes with our existing logo

Versatility: it needs to work on signage, apparel (we do puff print and embroidery), digital/social, environmental graphics, and a check-in screen

Scalability from a tiny app icon to a large wall mural

What We Don't Want:
No clichés. Avoid the typical "churchy" kids look — cartoon arks, rainbow Crayola palettes, clip-art doves, generic bubble fonts, smiling-cross mascots, or anything that feels like a 2005 Sunday School curriculum. Don't abandon our existing brand to do something flashy — the goal is bold within our family of marks.

Brand Context to Pull From:
TGP core values: Love, Authentic, Generosity, Honor, Growth
Mission: To make Jesus known by loving people
Our tone is warm but real — we love like Jesus, speak the truth, and let grace do the rest. Know. Grow. Go.

Deliverables:
Primary logo + secondary/stacked lockup
Submark or icon (for app/social/check-in)
Color palette (hex values), drawn from or complementary to our existing palette

Typography recommendations consistent with the parent brand
mockups showing the logo in real-world application (ie Shirts & signage preferred)

Final files in:
vector format (AI/EPS/SVG), PSD if available, plus PNG with transparent background
