Logo Design Brief
The Product
RVT is an advanced electrical safety device. It detects faults that standard safety switches miss,
including faults from lithium batteries, e-bikes, generators, and temporary power systems. It
reacts faster than conventional fuses or RCDs and protects people, property, and equipment
before damage occurs.
Important: This is not a power board. Do not reference, imply, or draw visual associations to
power boards at any point. The RVT is a category above.
The Three Logos
We need three logo variants, designed as a cohesive family:
• RVT Safe
• RVT Pro
• RVT One
Each logo should work as a standalone mark. The “RVT” portion must always appear in
capitals. The secondary word (Safe, Pro, One) can be explored in both upper and lower case we are open to seeing both.
The Feeling
This is the most important part of the brief.
When someone sees this logo, we want them to feel like they made the right call. Not just that they bought a good product, but that they did something that matters they protected what they love. Their family. Their home. Their business. Their team on site.
The logo should make people feel confident, empowered, and certain. Like this was the obvious choice for someone who takes safety seriously. We are not selling fear. We are selling peace of mind the kind that comes from knowing you didn’t cut corners.
The Feeling
This brand should feel modern, intelligent and quietly confident.
When someone sees the logo, they should feel they made the right decision. They chose the product that protects what matters without compromise.
We are not trying to look industrial.
We are trying to look like the future of electrical safety.
The design should feel calm rather than loud. Premium rather than corporate. Innovative rather than traditional.
It should feel like a technology company that happens to work in electrical safety.
The brand should feel:
• Modern and progressive
• Confident without shouting
• Strong without feeling heavy
• Intelligent without looking complicated
• Premium without feeling luxurious
• Technical without feeling mechanical
• Simple enough to recognise instantly
• Timeless rather than trendy
Avoid logos that rely on thick block lettering, sharp industrial angles or generic electrical symbols. We want something people remember because it feels distinctive, not because it looks like every other electrical company.
Visual Direction
The logo should consist of an icon and wordmark that feel designed together as one system.
The icon should have enough character to become recognisable on its own, while remaining simple enough to work at very small sizes.
We’re open to abstract ideas. The icon does not need to literally represent electricity or protection. A memorable abstract symbol that communicates confidence and trust is preferred over an obvious shield or lightning bolt.
The design should feel balanced and refined.
Explore softer geometry, flowing forms, subtle curves and clean proportions. The mark should feel engineered with precision but never rigid or stiff.
The wordmark should be custom or thoughtfully modified rather than a standard font. Look for opportunities where the icon and typography interact naturally, or where subtle customisation gives the brand a unique identity.
Overall, the identity should feel iconic rather than illustrative.
Think less industrial equipment.
Think more world class technology brand.
Primary colour: #3583ee
A clear, mid-weight blue not navy, not sky blue. Confident and modern. A second related
shade from this family can be explored, but should feel cohesive with the primary.
Why blue
Competitors have claimed green, yellow, black, red, and navy (NHP). This blue is ownable and sits apart from the field.
The product itself will be this blue,
What to Avoid
• Power board associations visual or implied
• Thin, delicate, or fragile marks
• Navy blue taken by NHP
• Anything that reads as generic electrical or industrial without distinction
• Orange prototype colour only, not part of the brand
• Green, yellow, black, or red already owned by competitors
Competitive Context
The market is full of industrial electrical brands that lean into hard edges, dark palettes, and technical iconography. The opportunity here is to feel more confident, more modern, and more human than the category without losing the authority the sector demands.
