Logo Design Brief

I am launching a new French-speaking podcast targeted at the French-speaking part of Switzerland, called Romandie.

The podcast is titled "L'Envers du Graben" and aims to introduce French-speaking listeners to comedians from the German-speaking part of Switzerland. (the two regions have no idea about the comedians in the other region)

To understand the core concept, you need to know about the "Röstigraben" (literally the "Rösti ditch" or "Rösti border"), which is a famous cultural and linguistic boundary that separates the French-speaking and German-speaking populations in Switzerland. The podcast's title means "The Other Side of the Graben," implying that we are peeking behind this cultural curtain to discover the authentic, warm, and human side of our neighbors, moving past old stereotypes (that the Swiss Germans are stiff and boring)

The tone of the show is fun, dynamic, curious, and casual—it feels like an unfiltered conversation in a cozy recording studio. The audience consists of young and culturally curious adults aged 18 to 45 who love intimate audio formats.

For the visual identity, the logo must be designed primarily as a square podcast cover (3000 x 3000 px) that remains perfectly legible even when shrunk down on a smartphone screen. I also need an YT thumbnail version, a vertical version for reel clips and high-quality vector files (.AI or .EPS).

Visually, the logo should feel modern, creative, and warm. Please avoid generic clichés like huge Swiss flags or fondue pots, unless used in a highly minimalist or clever way. You can also subtly integrate audio elements like waves or a microphone. The typography for "L'Envers du Graben" should be bold, contemporary, and highly readable. For the color palette, please avoid the standard red-and-white tourist look.
