Logo Design Brief

Our church is looking for a new, fresh logo. Our current logo was designed over 20 years ago and is very plain - basically clipart. We want a logo that is simple, clean and updated. We don't want generic or something that looks AI generated.

I am interested in possibly using a modern and simplified version of our Sanctuary stained glass window. The window is probably the most recognized feature of our building. (However, it is very detailed, and I know those details can't translate into a logo when it is small.)
I have added a copy of a bookmark we had made of our window, so you can see the different images that are incorporated. The second attachment describes the images in the window. It would be too hard to include them all, but maybe one or two could be included to make it recognizable.

I've also included a picture of our entire building for reference.

I would also be possibly interested in a logo using the initials of our church (PHUMC). I love the attached image of Oxford-University United Methodist Church's logo. The church goes by the nickname "O-U". I think it is innovative how the logo incorporates a cross with the O and the U. I love that creativity.

FYI - For decades, our church has had the mission of "connect, equip, send." We want to connect people to Christ and in relationships with each other. We want to equip people with the study of Scripture, worship opportunities and spiritual growth. And we want to send them out in witness and service to God and the community. (We don't want these words incorporated into the logo though.)
