Logo Design Brief

Logo Design Brief — Accountera Financial Solutions, Inc
1. About the company
Accountera Financial Solutions is a financial services firm providing bookkeeping, accounting, and CFO advisory services to small and mid-sized businesses. We are not a commodity data-entry shop — we sit alongside owners as their outsourced finance function, helping them understand their numbers and make decisions. The brand needs to feel like a trusted advisor, not a back-office vendor.

Audience: Small business owners and founders — construction contractors, hospitality, professional services, health/wellness. Smart, busy, non-financial people who want clarity and confidence.

Brand personality: Modern, precise, confident, forward-looking, human. Not stuffy, not corporate-cold, not cheap.

2. The name — and the single most important idea
The name is ACCOUNTERA. It is a coined word built from two ideas: ACCOUNT + ERA.

The core concept of this logo is that split. We want the wordmark set in two colors — "ACCOUNT" in one color and "ERA" in a second color — so that the double meaning is visible at a glance: a new era of accounting.

Critical constraint: the word must still read as ONE word — "Accountera." The color change should feel like a discovery, not a break. No space, no hyphen, no separator, no different type size or weight between the two halves. Same font, same weight, same tracking — color is the only thing that changes. E can have some interesting design.
Name treatment in the logo
ACCOUNTERA is the hero. It should dominate the lockup.
FINANCIAL SOLUTIONS should appear as a small, widely-letterspaced secondary line — subordinate, in a neutral gray or single brand color.
Do not include "INC." in the logo artwork.
Also deliver a version with ACCOUNTERA alone (no descriptor) for small applications.

3. What we want: mark structure
A wordmark plus a compact standalone symbol.

The symbol must be able to live entirely on its own — as a website favicon, an app icon, a social media avatar, an email signature badge, and a stamp on a PDF report. That means it has to be simple enough to read clearly inside a 32 x 32 pixel square.

4. Symbol concept direction: "a new era"
The symbol should express forward motion and a turning point in time — the "ERA" half of the name — expressed abstractly and geometrically. Not literally.

The symbol may echo the two-color split of the wordmark — one element in Deep Navy #0E2249, one in Amber #DF963D — which would tie the system together nicely. This is encouraged. If a third color is needed for a small detail, use Cyan #00C4D5.

Style: Geometric, constructed, confident. Clean flat vector shapes. Balanced optical weight. Should look designed, not generated.

5. Typography
Modern geometric or neo-grotesque sans serif. Think confident and contemporary — well-proportioned, generous counters, slightly tightened tracking. Lowercase or title case is acceptable; all-caps is acceptable if it doesn't feel shouty.

A subtle custom detail in a single letterform (a cut, an angle, a connection) is welcome — but the word must remain instantly legible and never look like a font accident.

Avoid: script fonts, slab serifs, condensed "tech" faces, anything with a default Microsoft Office feel, and any font with obvious quirks that will date within two years.

6. Color — use this palette exactly
These are the brand's five colors. Do not substitute, tint, or introduce colors outside this list.

Color
HEX
Role in the logo
Deep Navy
#0E2249
PRIMARY. "ACCOUNT" in the wordmark. The anchor color.
Amber
#DF963D
SECONDARY. "ERA" in the wordmark. The accent that carries the concept.
Cyan
#00C4D5
Accent — digital/web use, optional symbol detail
Indigo
#2C4678
Supporting neutral — the "FINANCIAL SOLUTIONS" descriptor line
Green
#9EB94C
Accent — collateral and charts only. Not for use in the logo.

The required split
ACCOUNT = #0E2249 (Deep Navy). ERA = #DF963D (Amber).

This pairing is specified deliberately. Navy and amber are opposite in hue, so the split reads instantly as two ideas, not as a tint of the same color — and amber supports the horizon / new-day concept in Section 4.
Hard rules
"FINANCIAL SOLUTIONS" must be set in #0E2249 or #2C4678 — never amber, cyan, or green. Those three colors are too light to hold small text on white.
Never place two of the three accent colors side by side (amber, cyan, green). They are nearly identical in tonal value and will vibrate against each other and collapse into one gray when the logo is printed in black and white.
#2C4678 cannot be used as the ERA color — it is too close in value to #0E2249 and the split will disappear.
The logo must survive as a single flat color (all black, all white) with no loss of identity. If the design only works because of the two colors, it is not finished. Test it: convert to grayscale and confirm both halves are still distinguishable.
No gradients as the primary identity. A gradient may exist as an optional secondary treatment only.
On dark backgrounds
"ACCOUNT" becomes white; "ERA" stays amber #DF963D so the identity is consistent everywhere. Cyan #00C4D5 may be used for symbol detailing on dark backgrounds only.

7. Please AVOID (this is important)
We have seen hundreds of accounting logos and want none of the following:

Bar charts, line graphs, pie charts, upward-trending arrows over bars
Open books, ledgers, ledger lines
Calculators, abacuses, coins, stacks of coins, piggy banks
Dollar signs, currency symbols, percent signs
Handshakes, human silhouettes, "people" swooshes
Buildings, columns, pillars, shields, laurels
Globes, orbits, atoms, circuit boards, "AI" nodes and neural nets
Generic swooshes, ribbons, or infinity loops
Puzzle pieces, checkmarks, gears
Stock icons or clip art of any kind
Mascots or illustrated characters
Drop shadows, bevels, 3D effects, glows

8. Technical requirements
100% original vector artwork. No stock elements, no AI-generated raster art, no traced images.
Must be legible at 32 x 32 px (symbol) and at 1 inch wide (full lockup in print).
Must work reversed out — placed on dark navy, dark gray, black, and a photographic background.
Must work in single-color black and single-color white.
Must reproduce cleanly in embroidery and one-color print (no hairline strokes, no shapes that fill in).

9. Final deliverables required from the winning designer
Lockups (all of the following):

Primary horizontal lockup — symbol + ACCOUNTERA + FINANCIAL SOLUTIONS
Stacked/vertical lockup — same elements, centered
Wordmark only — ACCOUNTERA, no symbol, no descriptor
Symbol only — standalone icon
Favicon / social avatar crop — symbol optimized for a square and a circle

Color variations of every lockup above:

Full color on transparent background
All-white on transparent background (for use on dark backgrounds and photos) — required
All-black on transparent background
Single-brand-color version

File formats:

Vector source files: .AI and .EPS (fully editable, text converted to outlines and a second copy with live text)
.SVG for web
.PNG with transparent background at 500px, 1000px, 2000px, and 4000px wide — for every color variation above, including the all-white set
.JPG on white background
.PDF print-ready

Documentation:

Exact color codes: RGB, CMYK, and nearest Pantone match for each of the five brand HEX values above
Font names used (and confirmation of commercial licensing)
Minimum size and clear-space guidance
A one-paragraph explanation of the concept

Rights: Full transfer of copyright and unlimited commercial usage rights to Accountera Financial Solutions, Inc., including trademark registration.

10. How we will judge entries
Does the ACCOUNT / ERA color split read as a clever double meaning while still reading as one word?
Does the symbol stand on its own at favicon size?
Does it look like a firm a business owner would trust with their finances?
Is it distinct from every other accounting logo on the market?
Does it still work in one color?
