Logo Design Brief

PLEASE READ THE ATTACHED BRIEFING
Design a primary logo (mark plus wordmark) and a standalone app icon for Complyre, an asset management platform for life-sciences companies. Complyre gives lab operations, IT, and quality teams one place to track every asset they own, how those assets connect to each other, and a permanent record of every change made to them.

Complyre is built by Systera Solutions LLC, a life-sciences consulting firm. The Complyre mark must read as a sibling of the Systera brand (same family, same teal palette) while standing entirely on its own with no Systera reference present. The Systera logo is attached as reference. Do not reuse or adapt it.

The name is one word, "Complyre," pronounced com-PLY-er. The wordmark reads "Complyre" and nothing else.

Audience: quality, validation, IT, and lab-operations professionals in biotech. Technical and skeptical. The mark must feel precise, engineered, and trustworthy. Neither "startup toy" nor "enterprise dinosaur."

The mark will live in a web application interface, in a browser tab at 16 px, and on printed documents that get photocopied in greyscale. It must work in pure black on white, in white on deep teal (
#10484C), and as inline SVG with a single fill color and no gradients or effects.

Teal is the only brand color. Full palette, two creative directions, a list of things to avoid, judging criteria, and the deliverables list are in the attached brief. Please read it before submitting; entries that ignore the constraints in it will not be shortlisted.

Requirements
Must have
  • Works in pure black on white, and in white on deep teal #10484C Legible and recognisable at 16 px (browser tab) Reads as a sibling of the attached Systera logo without reusing or adapting it Wordmark reads "Complyre" as one word, one colour, one weight Teal only ( #10484C, #00A897, #00CCB8); no second hue, no gradients Standalone mark that works inside a rounded-square app icon and free-standing Single-fill vector suitable for inline SVG; low path count, no effects One structural idea the founder can explain in one sentence
Nice to have
  • Carries the idea of connection (separate things held in one structure) Rewards a second look; a detail that appears at large size A-frame or triangular silhouette preserved from the current mark, if it survives scrutiny Extends naturally into a family of related glyphs later Sits comfortably next to Space Grotesk and Inter
Should not have
  • Shields, ticks, checkmarks, clipboards, checklists, gears, padlocks DNA helices, molecules, capsules, microscopes, flasks, pipettes, medical crosses Globes, swooshes, hexagon networks, the generic three-dot "share" icon Gradients, rainbow spectra, blue-to-indigo, any second colour Lyres or musical instruments Any splitting of "Complyre" into two colours, weights, or cases The Systera icon reused, recoloured, or lightly modified
