Logo Design Brief

I need a logo for a rural land surveying company. We are located in the St Francois mountains of Southern Missouri. Our primary focus is boundary surveying. I would like to use muted natural colors. Design should help communicate experience and trustworthiness. I want it to have the feel of an established company, while this is a new business I have worked in the industry for 30 years and have 22 years as a licensed professional. I am looking for an old school retro feel , think 1950s 1960s outdoor comany. The logo I uploaded is the best I could come up with on my own but I am not happy with it at all.

Target Market(s)

Realtors, title companies, landowners farms and ranches

Industry/Entity Type

Land surveying, engineering, real estate, construction
