What your days might look like

Employment Hero's Integrations team manage the movement of data between our employment and payroll systems and all the third parties we integrate with globally. We're working on new integrations as well as refactoring and rearchitecting the existing codebase.

As a Senior .NET Engineer, your day could include:

  • End-to-end fullstack development
  • New feature development from design with the squad through to production, improving/optimizing and maintenance
  • Performing tests and quality checks on your code - you own the quality and security of the code you create
  • Debugging, root cause analysis and mitigation strategies for application issues
  • Taking initiative in recommending improvements to the development process and codebase
  • Performing peer reviews of code changes
  • Maintaining documentation and help articles for new/updated features
  • Mentoring junior members of the squad

You'll accelerate your career quickly, working with smart people across the APAC and UK regions, in a fully remote, flexible, and casual environment. We also encourage our teams to work smart, leveraging Github Copilot and other generative AI tech.

What will you bring

  • Experience as a .NET Software Development Engineer working with C#, ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core
  • Experience with a frontend framework and Javascript or Typescript - we're using Vue and Knockout
  • Experience in developing software for deployment on public clouds - we use AWS
  • Good understanding of database concepts and experience working with relational databases like SQL Server
  • Experience using Agile methodologies and working with Product teams
  • Quality coding practices including unit testing and writing secure code
  • A passion for technical challenges - you'll be contributing to refactoring work and we'd love you to bring ideas on how to take the codebase forwards
  • A flexible mindset and a strong desire to continuously learn - our software roles require you to be able to work autonomously as well as a member of a team

The interview process for this role is:

  • Step 1: 30 min video call with someone from the Talent Acquisition team where we will go through your overall working experience, your motivations and expectations. This is also an opportunity for you to clarify any information you need about the job and Employment Hero
  • Step 2: .NET / C# coding challenge for you do in your own time
  • Step 3: 90 min online interview with our Engineering Team, where we will dive deep into your culture fit and professional expertise
