This role

As our Global Head of Communications & Content, you’ll be working with Tasman Page (Global GM of Marketing) and the global Marketing Leadership Team, and will be instrumental in shaping our global Communications and Content function to establish Employment Hero as the global authority on employment.

Your key focus areas will be

  1. Cementing our leadership position with traditional media while establishing Employment Hero as a major voice in the new media landscape.
  2. Making Employment Hero famous with B2B and B2C audiences across all global markets by providing frameworks and coordination across regions.
  3. Turning payroll/HR insights and near-daily HeroForce drops into timely, shareable moments using our extensive first-party data.
  4. Maximising human employment as AI changes the employment landscape, building a newsjacking capability that can respond fast to policy and AI moments.

This will include

  • Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive PR & Communications strategies that make Employment Hero famous.
  • Team Leadership: Lead internal PR & Insights experts and PR agencies in each of our markets, including in a matrix structure for regional team members.
  • Data-driven Approach: Utilise our first-party data from over 3 million employed people to establish Employment Hero as the global authority on employment.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Monitor, analyse, and report on performance, identifying areas for improvement and sharing progress with the business.
  • Trend Analysis: Stay up-to-date with trends, tools, and best practices to ensure our strategies are innovative and effective.
  • Collaboration & Execution: Work closely with the Executive Leadership Team, wider marketing team, and other stakeholders, while owning the plan to ensure effective execution.
  • Customer Insights: Connect with B2B and B2C customers to gather insights and feedback to inform product development and other improvements.

Who you are

To thrive at Employment Hero, you’ll need to embody The EH Way - operating with focus, agility, and an obsession with impact. For this role, you’ll also bring

  • 10+ years of experience in high-paced marketing environments, including 5+ years in a leadership position (Tech or fintech experience highly valued).
  • A proven track record leading and executing PR & Comms teams in an agency or in-house agency marketing/media environment.
  • Proven experience driving results across traditional media, new media, and government relations.
  • Advanced analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to interpret first-party data, identify trends, and build compelling editorial stories.
  • Experience building the long-term founder-as-category-leader play and building contrarian hooks that position the company as an authority.
  • Excellent writing, editorial, grammar, and verbal communication skills.
  • A highly motivated, results-oriented, and proactive mindset with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, adaptability, and resilience.
