Role Summary:

GTT has a proprietary OSS/BSS application that covers the quoting, ordering, provisioning, billing and ticketing of our customer telecommunications services. We are looking for a Software Engineer to add to our main development team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Interactive requirements gathering and requirements engineering

• Develop new modules/features of our OSS/BSS application

• Coding of improvements/bugfixes based on support requests

• Documentation of new features and processes

Required Experience/Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience with Web application development in a modern Object Oriented language (preferably PHP, Java, Ruby, Go)

• Strong background in Object Oriented design (knowledge of UML a plus)

• Strong Database design and SQL optimization

• Familiarity with Web technologies: HTML/CSS/JS

• Proactive, can-do mentality, quick learner

• Ability to collaborate in a very dynamic international work environment

Desirable Experience/Qualifications:

• Fluent in English and in Italian

• Experience with scaling a large Web Application

• Familiarity with Linux

• Familiarity with PostgreSQL

Qualifications/Courses:

• Bachelor or master’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or Computer Science

Hours/Travel/Shift:

• Office hours with occasional local and European travel.
