Role Summary:

The Quoting Manager is responsible for assisting GTT’s Sales department by reviewing requests, identifying prospective providers and negotiating best possible pricing to deliver services at the requested location and service type. The Offnet Quoting Specialist works day to day with GTT sales team and contracted vendors to assemble the best possible price solution to meet client demand and enable sales. The Offnet Quoting Specialist may also serve as a bridge between Sales and Sales Engineering or Service Delivery by helping to provide a quality solution ready for implementation. This role is integral to GTT’s stated mission of providing our client’s services with simplicity, speed and agility from quoting through service activation and support.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities:

• Work directly with sales team on processing requests

• Work with GTT vendors on a strategic level to obtain and negotiate firm vendor pricing per circuit

• Determine additional costs for GTT network elements

• Work with vendors to obtain updated Quoting sheets

• Assist in ensuring all possible vendor automation is utilized

• Provide feedback to continually improve vendor relationships and pricing

• Additional duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience and skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year university or equivalent experience is required

• 2-4 years of experience working in telecommunications in a vendor management, technical sales or sales support role

• Proficiency in MS Excel and Outlook

• Working knowledge of the Internet and web site navigation
