Role Summary:

The sales associate enables all aspects of an efficient sales motion within a sales team. Developing strong relationships with the team leader (Director) and individual sales executives to ensure necessary and repeatable sales activities are completed in accurate and timely fashion. The sales associate will complete a broad variety of tasks in direct support of the indirect sales function, providing them with a broad and detailed view into the Indirect Sales team and our customers. Routinely interacting with a wide range of GTT ecosystem members and directly with clients, the role is intended to provide essential support to the sales team while providing an entry level path for aspiring sales professionals.

Job Scope:
This role interacts with sales teams, sales support, order processing, sales engineering, marketing, and service delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accelerate sales revenues by completing repeatable tasks in support of the sales function such as quoting, proposal development, forecast support and administrative activity.
  • Coordinating complex pricing support with GTT ecosystem to accelerate customer response and content development.
  • May be required to facilitates customer order requests for moves, adds, changes, and disconnects. Initiates orders and ensures that the orders have been completed in a timely and accurate manner to the customer’s satisfaction.
  • Data entry and reporting utilizing multiple internal systems and processes.
  • Participation in internal sales meetings including forecasting, churn and install support.
  • Participation in external client meetings in support of sales activity.
  • Providing quality support to all stages of the sales cycle as needed to support the acceleration of sales results.
  • Develop a comprehensive knowledge of GTT products, solutions, and technologies in the technology and managed services provider space.
  • Develop the ability to operate independently as an effective customer facing member of the GTT sales team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Experience/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in business or telecommunications or equivalent combination of Experience with or interest in the activities of a Global Managed Service provider applicable education/experience
  • 2+ years’ experience in direct sales/account management, up-selling, product positioning, and customer service to end user customers, preferably in telecommunications or technology industry
  • Working knowledge of the Internet and web site navigation
  • Aptitude and desire for a long-term career in global enterprise sales
  • Strong interpersonal skills, working well in team environments
  • Ability to work effectively in an independent work from home environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without sacrifice in quality
  • Must reside in US
  • Aptitude for working within multiple complex systems simultaneously
  • Aptitude to work in rapidly changing environment - desire to adapt to changing work requirements and multi-task
  • Must be accountable and demonstrate a high level of concern for work output
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Outlook

Desirable Experience/Qualifications:

  • Experience selling a technology-based solution
  • Grasp of managed services to include Connectivity, SDWAN, Security, and SASE
  • Previous experience working in a 100% remote home environment in a complex team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with sound presentation techniques and aptitude.
