Network Provisioning Engineer - Facilities

Role Summary:

The Network Provisioning Facilities team member is responsible for the design,

physical assignment of services and updating internal inventory records related to CFA for all services provided globally. These services include DIA, IP Transit, MPLS VPLS, IP/SDWAN/Security services that are on net.

Internal Departments they will interact with

The team works closely with Service Delivery, Project Management, Engineering and

Operations teams to ensure the efficient, cost-effective delivery of high-quality correct CFA allocations / assignments for globally provided services.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design, Develop and modify network handoffs solutions providing

exceptional client experience while ensuring the integrity of service

  • Daily interaction with members of the sales, design engineering, technical managers and project management teams
  • Create, modify, and maintain engineering process, work flows and documentation
  • Support customers through service acceptance by troubleshooting service issues related to physical CFAs to include - no light / low light, incorrect assignments, records mismatches internally and with Colo providers providing timely resolution.
  • Ability to coordinate with internal stakeholders and external parties with effective use of resources and timely delivery.
  • Making contributions to organizational knowledge base
  • Ability to represent GTT at various levels from a technical perspective.
  • Managing & maintaining client service resource allocations
  • Managing and maintaining internal record databases related to CFA in all POPs globally.
  • Collaborate with peers and colleagues within Engineering, Service Delivery and Operations

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience supporting a client’s complete network deployment lifecycle
  • Demonstrate the ability to work with customer engineering teams to determine network requirements are understood, reflected accurately and implemented
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills in English.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role – Network Design/ Architecture or Implementation
  • Network Certifications (i.e.CCNA/CCNP, JNCIS/JNCIP) or similar level with focus on present-day technologies (e.g. SDWAN, MPLS, TCP/IP, VPN, BGP, QoS, etc.) is a plus
  • Juniper equipment experience (PTX, MX, QFX, ACX and EX series) is a plus
  • Experience interfacing with peering providers and facility management
  • Knowledge of principles of IT Service Management best practices
