Role Summary:

Designs, installs, configures, and maintains GTT networks. Provides documentation/project tracking and management reporting. Reviews, plans, and evaluates network systems.

Job Scope/Supervision:

Will interact with Service delivery, Client Engineering, Engineering, Access Planning and Network Implementation team’s

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Maintain network capacity and resources to include CFA and network ports.

· Work with service delivery and other departments to network and client capacity.

· Work with Engineering, Access Planning, and Network implementation teams to deliver network growth and network optimization.

· Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience/Qualifications:

· Demonstrable experience in supporting, upgrading, and managing carrier class network hardware, Juniper experience preferred.

· Experience in supporting and deploying POP builds within carrier neutral datacenters.

· Proven cable management skills and experience in working with cross-connect inventory databases.

· A strong working knowledge of general network topologies and standards.

· Knowledge and experience with typical interconnect technologies or methods like Fiber, Cat5, 1/10/100 Gigabit Ethernet, DWDM

Desirable Experience/Qualifications:

· At least 2 years and proven track record building, installing, and maintaining service provider networks.

· Ability to take complete ownership of large projects and deliver these to a high standard against tight deadlines.

· Strong analytical skills and able to solve technical and logistical problems.

· Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated and demonstrates initiative.

· Juniper/Cisco certifications-desirable

Hours/Travel/Shift:

Hours 9:00am to 5:30 PM local time

Minimal Travel required
