Role Summary
Lead a team of cash collectors, ensuring that GTT meets its cashflow targets and minimizes levels of overdue debt and bad debt write-offs. Track, review and report on quantitative performance metrics related to individual collector performance and customer payment performance. Analyze results and work with collectors and customers to improve payment performance. Manage and drive stakeholder relationships across the business ensuring high levels of customer service and leverage relationships to maximize cashflow. Adopt a ‘continuous improvement mindset’ and strive to increase efficiency by process optimization, automation and lean approach.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Train, coach and guide a team of collectors towards their KPIS with the aim of maximizing cashflow and minimizing overdue debt and write offs
- Review collectors’ quality of work by monitoring of notes, tickets and performance against processes and key KPIS
- Hold regular one to one meetings and ledger reviews with the Collectors to provide feedback on performance
- Stakeholder management: Ensure regular debt calls are in place with the key stakeholders in the business to address any key areas of concern related to debt, performance and relationships
- Provision/reserve all doubtful revenue in accordance with agree procedures
- Support team to follow the dunning process up to and including suspension, disconnection and 3rd Party Collection
- Develop and distribute regular A/R reporting and analysis, including month-end, bad debt, aging, team effectiveness and customer disputes
- Manage process to identify and execute balance write-offs
- Act as liaison with third party collection agencies
- Perform credit checks on new clients and manage credit risk in line with the company’s credit policy
Required Experience/Qualifications:
- Background in Accounting or Finance or experience in Telcos preferred
- 5+ years of experience in an Accounts Receivable and/or 2+ years of Accounts Receivable Supervisory experience
- Demonstrable ability to hit core KPIs and targets
- Demonstrated reporting and process improvement experience
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail, accuracy and accountability
- Ability to multi-task, adapt to multiple demands and shifting/competing priorities, and deliver high quality work in a high-paced environment
- Proficiency in Excel and Word

The salary range for this position is $55,000 to $70,000 depending on relevant skills and experience.
