Network Provisioning Engineer

Role Summary:
The IP Design & Provisioning team (PNOC) is responsible for the customer design and logical provisioning of IP transit and VPN services on a pan-European footprint.
Internal Departments they will interact with:
The team works closely with Service Delivery, Project Management, Engineering and Operations teams to ensure the efficient, cost-effective delivery of high-quality IP services to external and internal customers.
Main Responsibilities:
- Design, implementation, test and turn up of customer IP services in cooperation with the customer and field services teams. This includes IP Access, BGP transit and MPLS VPNs on layer 2 and 3
- Technical validation of new customer IP orders
- Technical point of contact for Service Delivery, Sales Engineering, Project Management and In-Country Field Engineering teams for issues related to IP service design, implementation, test and turn up
- Migration of IP customer services, in cooperation with customer and field services teams
- Prompt identification of issues which may impact delivery timescales or quality
- Pro-active escalation, follow-through and liaison with appropriate departments to resolve technical issues which may impact delivery timescales or quality. Creation of contingency plans to minimize such issues
Essential Criteria:
- At least two years experience of IP services on Cisco or Juniper equipment
- Excellent IP. MPLS and routing knowledge in an ISP environment
- General knowledge of telecom industry and standards
- Excellent English language skills a must, other languages an advantage

Preferably:
• College or University degree in Technical related discipline or equivalent level of experience (time served)
