Role Summary:
The payroll specialist will be responsible for managing and maintaining multiple payrolls by ensuring the accurate and timely payment of salaries and benefits for employees located in different countries.
Job Scope/Supervision:
The Payroll Specialist will report to the Payroll Manager.
The role will interact with HR Specialists, HR Administrators, HRIS Team, Finance Department, Commissions Team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Processing of the monthly payroll including wage, bonus, overtime payments etc., calculating and recording of payroll deductions, and requests for advances.
- Compiling of payroll data, processing, and transmitting payrolls for all assigned entities in an accurate, timely manner in accordance with established payroll processing calendars, and Government regulations.
- Reviewing the payroll before finalizing to ensure accuracy.
- Preparing payroll tax returns, social security returns, pension administration, health care administration and finance reports.
- Assisting with other HR related issues such as headcounts, benefits administration, and maintenance of personnel information.
- Filing of all payroll and benefits related paperwork.
- Assisting the Payroll Manager with ad hoc tasks as required.
- Have a knowledge of and keep current with the taxation of salaries, benefits, and other factors.
- Process and monitor garnishment orders and other issues that impact payroll specifications.
- Maintain and document all payroll records.
- Prepare the general ledger regarding payroll transactions.
- Detect and process issues with uncollected payroll.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns.
- Assist in audits.
- Keeps abreast of the payroll and HR systems and changes in wage/tax laws and applies changes as appropriate.
- Responds to questions regarding pay policies/procedures.
- Communicate with the payroll vendors to enable accurate, timely processing of the payroll.
- Processing Child Support requests.
- Organizing Payroll Storage and documentation.
- Enter and extract data from the HR System for reporting, compliance, and metrics purposes. Ensure payroll reports are downloaded and data is securely and confidentially maintained.
- Stay abreast of Payroll compliance issues and Payroll system upgrades via continuing professional development.
Required Experience/Qualifications:
- Experience of payroll processing.
- Strong organizational skills. To be able to plan and organise workloads and take on ad hoc tasks in a demanding environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding financial matters.
- Confident in Excel and Word, to be able to create formulae and set up new spreadsheets without the need for training.
- Great attention to detail.
- Excellent mathematical skills.

- Confident communicator.

- Self-starter.
- Fluent English.
- University Degree.
Desirable Experience/Qualifications:
1 Year of experience in payroll.
Experience managing payroll for a company with 50+ employees.
Working in a multinational environment and processing payrolls for different countries.
Relevant educational background will be considered an advantage.
Working Hours:
Standard working hours, Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:30
