Haemonetics Field Service Engineer (FSE) I is responsible for annual preventive maintenance and completing scheduled service repairs of Haemonetics products (TEG, Blood Track, Cell Saver) at hospital sites. The FSE utilize strong customer service skills to coordinate service with clients and ensure they are satisfied with service commitments. Position demands daily administrative schedule and service call closure. Strict attention to internal documentation and reporting requirements includes schedule accuracy, Salesforce service call closure, parts inventory, and expense reporting. Strong technical background and excellent problem-solving skills to ensure optimal system functionality and customer satisfaction.
Essential Responsibilities:
Performs routine preventive maintenance and scheduled reactive service of equipment to minimize downtime
Troubleshoots, diagnoses malfunction, replace faulty components
Strong organizational skills and strict compliance with internal documentation – Scheduling, closing calls, expense reporting, Time Entry and parts inventory management.
Professionally interacts with clients to assess their needs, address any concerns and provides technical support.
Communicates progress and outcomes of service to internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrates proactive and effective communication and engagement with customer.
Utilizes time, service and support-tracking tools.
Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely manner.
Adheres to and follows Haemonetics policies and procedures.
Education/Skills:
BS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, related degree with knowledge in the biotechnology/biomedical industry, or related experience and/or applicable military experience
2-5 years relevant experience Field Service Experience
Must be highly motivated and have strong problem-solving ability
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Must have good technical writing abilities
Must be able to work independently and as a team player
Computer experience and literacy a must
Familiarity with field alignments, electrical/electronics, and mechanical systems
Knowledge and skills typically acquired through previous positions in fast-paced corporate environments which involved responsibility for similar work
Travel requirement: 65% depending on geography and customer utilization - Valid driver’s license and own car required
