Position summary:

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven leader to lead the Global Planning organization. A key focus for this individual will be establishing and leading the Global Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process across our businesses. In addition, this position will be responsible for ensuring a robust demand/supply planning process across our business franchises. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in S&OP processes, demand planning, and cross-functional collaboration in a regulated environment. This role is critical to supporting demand/supply alignment, operational efficiency, and customer service excellence on a global scale.

Key responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Design, implement, and lead our global S&OP process, aligning Commercial, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance functions across multiple regions
  • Build and scale the demand planning function to support our diverse product portfolio across our markets
  • Drive organizational change management and continuous improvement in our planning processes and systems.

S&OP Process Management

  • Establish and own the global S&OP calendar working closely with other functions, including monthly executive S&OP reviews
  • Develop and ensure deployment of our demand consensus processes, integrating inputs from Commercial, Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance
  • Ensure process is in place to align demand forecasts, supply capabilities and financial objectives
  • Act as a control tower between manufacturing sites, distribution centers and commercial to ensure Product is in the right place at the right time

Demand Planning & Inventory Management

  • Work with the Global Supply Chain Process Organization to implement strong statistical and collaborative forecasting tools and methodologies
  • Ensure effective communication with Site Planners to ensure that the demand plan is well understood and executable
  • Serve as an escalation point for Manufacturing / Supply Chain regarding potential Commercial/Customer impacts due to shortages or inability to supply
  • Work to improve our short- and long-term demand forecasts working closely with our Commercial team by region, product family, and customer segment
  • Define and lead a root cause analysis process for forecast errors and corresponding corrective actions
  • Responsible for Finished Goods inventory across the various franchises

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as a key liaison between Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to drive alignment and accountability
  • Partner with Product Management and R&D for new product introduction (NPI) forecasting and lifecycle planning

Team Development

  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing global team of demand/supply planners and S&OP professionals
  • Define clear roles, responsibilities, KPI’s, and development paths for team members

Systems & Tools

  • Drive the selection and implementation of advanced planning tools as appropriate
  • Leverage existing digital tools and analytics to enable scenario planning, visibility, and agility

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Demand Planning, S&OP, and Supply Chain ideally within medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or fast-paced regulated disposable manufacturing.
  • Proven success in building and scaling global S&OP processes in multi-region businesses.
  • Strong understanding of global supply chain dynamics, planning systems, and regulatory compliance ideally in med-tech or related industries.
  • Demonstrated experience effectively driving cross-functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders across regions.
  • Proficiency in planning tools and data visualization tools.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and change management skills.
  • Willingness to travel domestically/internationally as needed (up to 20%).

Pay Transparency:

The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account, without limitation, the candidate’s location, education, job-knowledge, skills, and experience in prior relevant roles. Incentives may also be provided as part of Haemonetics’ employee compensation. For sales roles, employees will be eligible for sales incentive (i.e., commission) under the applicable plan terms. For non-sales roles, employees will be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, the target amount of which varies based on the applicable role, to be governed by the applicable plan terms. Employees may also be eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive plan, with eligibility and target amount dependent on the role.

In addition to compensation, the Company offers a competitive suite of benefits to its employees, including without limitation, a 401(k) with up to a 6% employer match and no vesting period, an employee stock purchase plan, “flexible time off” for salaried employees and, for hourly employees, accrual of three to five weeks’ vacation annually (based on tenure), accrual of up to 64 hours (annually) of paid sick time, paid and/or floating holidays, parental leave, short- and long-term disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, and/or health and welfare benefits.
